The house is situated in a medieval borgo, Novele, just 5 mins from Acquasanta terme, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, southern Marche, close to the borders with Abruzzo, Lazio and Umbria.  Novele, situated on the edge of 2 national Parks, it is an ideal base for exploring the parks and surrounding area. Nearby attractions include, Acquasanta terme and its thermal springs, Castel di luco,  Ascoli Piceno (15mins) with the Quintana and medieval centre , Amatrice , the home of spaghetti al’amatriciana (20mins),  Arquata del tronto (15 mins), Castelluccio and the flowering of the lentils (25mins), not to mention the national parks, Parco nazionale dei monti sibillini (www.sibillini.net) and Parco nazionale Gran Sasso e monti della laga (www.gransassolagapark.it) both 10 mins from the house.

The coast is just 35 mins away, whilst the nearest skiing is just 15 mins away. Pescara airport is 1hr 15 mins away, with Ancona being 1hr 30 mins away. Rome, not to be overlooked, is 1 hr 30 mins away.

Further afield, but all within a couple of hours drive; Assisi, Spello, Perugia, Lago di Trasimeno, Gubbio, Orvieto, Frascati.
