Monterubbiano is a lovely looking village situated on the top of a 463 mt high hill, it is only 8 km far from the sea and boasts terrific sights on both the Adriatic sea and the Sibillini Mountains, passing throgh the Aso valley where the small centre of Rubbianello lays ( a very recently built area where you can enjoy the green orchards and the typical perfumes of seasonal agricultural products). Agriculture is here the main activity, although both small industries and tourist activities have seen a remarkable development. The pre-historical remains and the Picene necropolis can still witness of a very ancient origin. In 268 B. C. it became a Roman town of Urbiano dates the year 1000.
